UNIFORM AND APPEARANCE
In keeping with the holy discipline taught as a choir school, a clean, modest, and neat appearance is very important at our school. Following the uniform regulations will aid students in cultivating the virtues of modesty and orderliness, and will create a unified atmosphere where each person is valued and respected as a child of God. Choices in regards to personal appearance should respect the dignity of the person and not distract others.
General Appearance:
All students should look and smell clean.
Hair should be neatly styled; no unnatural hair colouring or streaking. Boys’ hair may not hang below the collar. Facial hair must be kept neat and trimmed.
Tattoos or body art should be covered. No excessive jewellery.
No head coverings are allowed in the building, i.e. caps or hats; however, girls may wear chapel veils for Mass.
Without express permission, hoodies/athletic sweatshirts or non-uniform sweaters or jackets may not be worn during class or at Mass/prayer.
We encourage the use of laundry products and practices that keep dark clothing from fading and white clothing from turning dingy and greyish.
Footwear: For school events, students must wear black dress shoes (not running shoes or sneakers) with their uniforms.
Uniforms: Boys wear slacks, a white oxford shirt, and a cardigan with the school logo. Girls wear a skirt, white oxford shirt, and cardigan with school logo. Students wear a tie, which is purchased separately from the school. A blazer with logo is required for school events, with the first event being First Advent.
